Psychology - How would you diagnose the African/Black community in the diaspora at this time?

The African American(and Africans living in the Diaspora) community, is a mentally unhealthy community. Because, everything about us on a political and economic level is absolutely dysfunctional: our politics are dysfunctional, our economics are dysfunctional, our organizations are largely dysfunctional, our relationships with each other are dysfunctional and as a result our children are also dysfunctional.

Institutions determine behavior, institutions structure behavior and when you do not own nor control your institutions, that means your behavior is largely under the control of those who do control your institutions, and that is where our weakness is.

One of the ways to tackle this problem begins with identity. Much of what must be done to solve our problems does not require money, most of what we need are the psychological intangibles, the identify, the motivation, the commitment, the courage, the motivation, that is where we are lacking, we need these things in order to get the tangible things done. If we do not identify ourselves as a group, how can we agree on a unified political and economic policy to help the community.

We are missing the intangibles, most African/Black people living in the Diaspora do not care about having their own institutions, most black people do not trust their own people, most black people are absolutely in love with white folks. So, we cannot even have a conversation about building black institutions, because you are dealing with people who are in love and in need of white validation and acceptance, why would they want anything separate from their oppressor?
