Why Some Black People Are Against Black Solidarity

As different functions of black people, Christians or Muslims, Marxists or Socialists, Nationalists or Pan-Africanists, Integrationists and Separatists, Feminists or Womanists...all almost separate tribes that are trying to advocate for a constituent group, when somebody from amongst them comes and says, "We are fighting each other all the time, we are attacking each other, but there is a larger enemy who is oppressing all of us, we outnumber them and if we were to coordinate and organize and work together we would take power from them and be the power group. We would be able to exert control. We would be able to empower our communities, protect our elders and our children, make we have meaningful employment, make sure we are not getting killed by racists, imperialists militarized police."

Now, who could possibly disagree with that, you are asking?

Some of the people in this different black tribes, like being the head of their tribe, like being in their nice office, like the funds that they get, like the status that comes with being the leader of their tribe, they like to be in the media with the major or hugged up with this senator or that congress person, they like to get awards and be seen in all corporate media, so when they hear somebody say, "Let us come together and work as one", what they hear is, "I got to give up my power?, I can't be the chief anymore?, I am not going to be the white appointed black 'leader' anymore?", they say no, I am not for that organizing coming together solidarity thing, if it means I have to lose my little tiny place on a little tiny throne, my control of this little tiny turf.

And those heads of the tribe, along with the white men, will be the number one opponents to any plan for black people to organize and to work in solidarity.
